Title: Re-engineering a synchronous groupware towards a flexible framework
Theme: At the Gerhard Mercator University Duisburg a synchronous groupware called PASSENGER was developed throughout the last years. This system is Client/Server based with a static linked client user interface. This interface integrates a communication component, a cooperation component and several cooperation services.
Description: Within this thesis this system has to be re-engineered to allow a dynamic configuration of the clients application. This includes also a re-engineering of the groupware architecture, its specific protocols and the development and integration of interfaces for data exchange, such as the well-know T.120 standard. A prototype based on these new concepts has to be developed. For implementation the Interactive Development Environment Borland Delphi 5 is available. The functional efficiency has to be demonstrated within the institutes Ipv6-Testbed.
