Room BB 311

Oststr. 99, Duisburg

Goals
Doctoral candidates are offered the unique chance to get a double degree as Ph.D. and Dr.-Ing., execute research in an international scientific environment and become familiar with different cultures.

Cornerstones
PromISE is a bi-national and structured doctoral programme between the University Duisburg-Essen (UDE) and the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Kuala Lumpur. The programme is designed as research project for 3 to 4 years, accompanied by courses and colloquia.
The research projects shall be interdisciplinary by nature, combining different fields of science, either within faculties of Engineering or bridging to other faculties. All topics shall also combine strength and support both partner universities and societies.
All projects will be supervised by two professors, one from each university; research is executed at both universities, following the so-called sandwich scheme. Such arrangements will be retained in a cotutelle agreement.
